MYFA (formerly MAMFA) provides players, parents, and volunteers the resources, support, and safe environment to enjoy participation in youth football while helping players develop the life skills and values that build our community.
The player is responsible for providing the following equipment:
All MAMFA teams will be required to wear a Navy helmet with gray or navy facemask.
Shoulder pads, in good condition and properly fit
Navy game pants
Navy football game socks
Cold weather gear worn under the uniform should be navy (gray, black, or white if navy is not available)
Forearm pads or wristbands should be navy or gray (these items are optional)
Gloves should be navy, gray, or black (optional)
All players requiring a new game jersey will need to attend a MAMFA uniform fitting to get fitted for a jersey and submit number requests. Check the website for the dates and locations of those fittings.
Practice jersey, pants, and socks (wearing game jersey, pants, and socks to practice is not recommended)
Pads for pants (girdle, or web belt with slotted pants, if pants and pads are not snap-in)
Football shoes (Detachable cleats are illegal for all players on 2nd – 5th grade teams)
Mouth guard no clear or white (keeping an extra in player’s bag is recommended)
